Nepean Belle Double Celebration
On Thursday, 20th May 2021, members and friends of the Hawkesbury Nepean Blue Mountains Chapter boarded the Nepean Belle at Tench Reserve on the Nepean River to enjoy a day's fellowship. We had a lovely luncheon provided by the crew as we sailed on the river.
While aboard we commemorated the 234th departure of the First Fleet from Portsmouth as well as our own 6th anniversary as a chapter. A few words of welcome was provided by our Secretary, a short fun quiz by David Moore and a poem was read by Suzanne Shaw that provided us a perspective of our ancestors and how they might view us.

The sunny blue skies and perfect weather conditions allowed us to enjoy the day with each other after the many months of the pandemic restrictions. As was often said in the past community news items, "An enjoyable day was had by all."
